
QuadReal takes institutional investor award
QuadReal Property Group has been named the 2022 winner of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Institutional Investor ESG Award.
Now in its second year, the award was created to recognise excellence in incorporating ESG factors into commercial real estate investing. The Canadian real estate investor has C$67.1 billion ($49.45 billion) of real estate assets under management worldwide.
Jamie Gray-Donald, senior vice president of sustainability and environmental health & safety at QuadReal, said: “Our pathway to net zero includes specific interim targets including creating a proactive plan for our entire portfolio by 2025 and reducing carbon by 50% across our Canadian portfolio by 2030.”

Another Canadian investor, Ivanhoé Cambridge, won the inaugural Institutional Investor ESG Award in 2021.
