Octopus hits first close for UK housing fund
Octopus Investments has raised £50m ($63 million) at the first close of its UK affordable housing fund.
The capital was raised from London CIV, the investment pool for 32 of London’s local government pension funds. It will be used to fund 500 affordable family and senior homes to be built across the UK.
The fund has an overall target of delivering 5,000 homes over five years and will also provide co-investment opportunities for local authorities, pension funds and other investors.
